  This place was a wonderful discovery! Great for those who work and live in the Southwood area. They are delicious and very reasonably priced. They have a drive thru which is great for a quick lunch pick up. I recommend their taco and quesadillas. I also LOVE their salsa, it's awesome! Their beans and rice are also delicious. I come here at least once a week!

  I love this place! Quick lunch stop, easy to order (the menu has pictures) and the food is consistent. The staff are friendly and speedy. The inside has lots of seating that's generally clean but the best part is the *drive through* for even more convenience. Tacos are a staple for me and this place delivers. My recommendation is to get a veggie taco and whatever meat you want and mix them because they do the veggies fajita style and imo they belong together. For the environmentalists, sad to report that they use styrofoam but hey it's cheap, I get it.

  Tasty, affordable, and fresh! I was lured in by a Groupon and my fiancé and I loved it. We eat low carb/keto, so many Mexican places give us side-eye when we turn down chips, etc. Not only was there no side-eye, but there were enough options to not have to special order. The ingredients all tasted fresh, excellent queso, great margaritas (not keto), and fun decor.
  The staff was friendly and brought the food to us. We will definitely be back.

  This restaurant is located in a building that was previously an international fast food chain. The owners have embraced this by presenting Mexican fare in a fast food-inspired environment. Food is ordered at a counter and delivered by a server or picked up by the guest. The service and cleanliness are top-notch! Food quality is definitely better than what you'd receive at a fast food restaurant. The decor isn't exactly exciting and this isn't a place I'd think to visit to have a drink, but beer and margaritas are available. The location is easy to miss but worth the time to visit for a casual lunch or dinner.

  Not the greatest location for most, but don't let that stop you. Lucky for me, I work close by and have tried their breakfast menu a few times.
  They have an express menu, but have most of your key Mexican dishes. They also have several protein options for each. I had a carne asada burrito combo that came with rice and beans. It was fresh and excellent. They also have nice portion of queso for nachos, bigger than you usually see at most places. Where they really surprised me was their salsa options. They have your normal stuff, but they have a few temperature options, a jalapeño salsa , and my favorite, the chipotle salsa that had some heat and excellent flavor.
  These folks took over an abandoned Burger King and have made a neat variation to your usual Mexican restaurant. Don't confuse "express" for limited quality, because Los Compadres certainly didn't.
